Sid Canoe recalls: "Hard to believe it was recorded in the last century. I can remember my dog was there you can hear him in the studio. I regret Pat's microphone was not turned up loud enough and the background music was too loud so some edits took place for that interview and some others, but it's pretty much as it sounded live on KGHP FM. What is not evident to the ear is that station management had given me a directive to play a tape prior to my show explaining to my audience that I was "the devil". Yes that's correct. How this became a story is documented and will be shown in other videos but behind the scenes I was pressured by new management. They had been harassing me then they moved my show to a later time just before finally firing me the following day over the phone because I refused to play their long defamatory message. This made the local paper and beyond, again for another video. Many of these episodes contain amazing synchronicities for me personally. The message is as much in the music and in the lyrics as it is in the narration of monologues. How prophetic that the final song is "Stop that Train". Little did I know it was to be the final song played on the live broadcast of Sid canoe at that station. Certainly I would never guess that my show would be picked up 20 years later by a network, which will be another story for another video, but we were buried and are now resurrected on the links below. The show has been somewhat miraculous, it has felt guided at times, I do not feel connected to the the spiritual realm like some of these spiritual tongue talkers out there! I simply work very hard and what you're hearing is years of study in comedy music and broadcasting with experience in all of those fields coming together for a one of a kind show I truly hope you enjoy."

Zid had the support of co-workers and fans, but the school sided with the new manager, citing concerns about "the separation of Church and State".
For his part, Zidkenu had helped the station as an unpaid volunteer, providing professional expertise and technical assistance to the same pair who attacked him. Zidkenu has always tried to do what was right, even in the face of malicious persecution. The American Center for Law and Justice agreed to take the case, and KIRO radio invited him to be a guest - but then Al Gore and George Bush tied in Florida and all the lawyers and media flew south.

THIS BROADCAST was the first one Sid Canoe was ever verbally warned about - gently - during the show. That was due to the subject matter being scary for some, hence the need of the topic. In 1999 a retired radio guy was asked to volunteer at a high school community radio station and asked by management to do "a show about spiritual stuff." SURE! So "Sid Canoe" was born. The name was taken from his musical act "Zidkenu". So in a public educational faculty with kids and faculty to start the show, Sid also ran the station alone and did the sign off and security. Ultimately our host would be fired when new leftist management teamed up with a vile atheist. They tried hounding him off the air but could find no fault with him so they just fired him. It made the papers...

That's the purpose of our adventure today if you're a regular listener you realize by now that all of our adventures have a purpose of some kind we went to Mars in order to decry the overspending the space program and the uselessness of sending people to a planet with nothing on it when we are currently deforesting our own planet at a rapid pace and we also went to the Magic Kingdom to illustrate the useless violence of Children's Entertainment even in the most innocuous forms such as Disney World, Disneyland and Pirates of the Caribbean, well today we're visiting the spirit world in order to illustrate that there are people who are so wrapped up in these manifestations that they believe them to be ghosts of dead people and I Sid Canoe your humble host am offering a rebuttal to that position from a book called Divine Plan Journal "What say the scriptures about spiritism?" and again these are not the opinions of KGHP or it's many fine sponsors who happen to be you folks out there - now it is not surprising that Satan and the fallen angels his cohorts in evil should know considerably more than do men concerning many of life's affairs as you realize "ghosts" often know things they have details about people's lives which they're able to convey we must remember that by nature they are a higher more intelligent order than men for man was made quote a little lower than the angels besides let us remember their thousands of years of experience unimpaired by decay and death as compared with man's few years full of trouble and so soon cut off in death can we wonder that mankind cannot cope with the cunning of these wicked spirits and that our only safety lies in the divine provision that each one who so wills they refuse to have any communication with these demons resist the devil and he will flee from you the Bible says so how many of you out there know somebody with a horror story about a say on a Ouija board lives that have been disturbed gone astray certain details of horrible crimes that are always accompanied by these kinds of manifestations so while these agencies these demons might be able to tell things past and present these evil intelligences are quite unable to do any more than guess the future these guesses are often skillfully stated to satisfy the inquirer and to appear true but if the result should be the opposite of his expectation well...it's just, it's just it's just a lot of nonsense folks. The dead are really dead. Yep! They're dead. They don't think or do anything..."
